The Christian faith will always be lived out amidst disapproval, opposition and persecution. What Jesus experienced will be unavoidably experienced by all his disciples. So then how are we to deal with this fact of life? How are we to be courageous in being ‘public’ and open Christians?

Jesus says it comes through cultivating a right fear of God not man, marvelling at God’s care for us, and being assured that acknowledging Jesus is eternally worth it.
