As a local church, SLE has a strong desire to be supporting the work of God’s mission throughout the world, through finances, prayer and encouragement. Below you'll find some of the ways we seek to do this!
SLE budgets at least 15% of our annual income for Mission Support. Our missions giving as a church is broken up into the following six areas as well as subsidies for members who take part in short-term mission service:
We also support other ministries either regularly or from time to time which may not fit into the above categories, such as:
- Bible distribution – through the Bible Society and affiliates

Meet Up With Us
Missions Interest Group (MIG) - meets quarterly.
Anyone interested is welcome to join as we encourage each other in our missionary interest and involvement, and to pray for God's global mission.
Each session focuses on a different aspect of mission – such as meeting a missionary, discussing how we can better partner missionaries, being alerted to opportunities for local mission involvement, considering and organising short-term trips, and being motivated for mission from God's word. We also have time in each meeting to be praying for global and local missions.
Those who wish to come early are welcome to join us for dinner and chat before the meeting.
To register for our next meeting, please sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/MIGmeeting. Please reply at least three days before the next meeting so that you will receive details of the meeting before you come.

Scope (country-focused prayer groups)
Scope is a chance to more narrowly focus our gaze on one particular country, in the hopes of growing our heart for the people there, especially focusing on their spiritual needs. The times together will help attendees to "scope out" the ministry opportunities there, and think about how they can become increasingly involved.
Each evening will be filled with good food, conversations and prayers for that nation.
