Over the past 20 chapters of Ezekiel the warning of judgement to come has rung out again and again. Well, the end has now begun. Nebuchadnezzar has marched his forces to Jerusalem to begin his siege. Nothing can prevent God’s judgement falling upon his people now.

At the same time, sadly, God also takes the life of Ezekiel’s wife. This painful providence also has something to teach Israel – and it won’t be cheery.
