Gospel Shaped Leadership

What makes a great Christian leader? The world has many different ideas about leadership, and often these ideas influence our expectations for Christian leaders. But are these expectations consistent with the gospel? As the leaders of SLE Church take some time this weekend to learn and grow in their leadership, it is appropriate that as a church we reflect on the characteristics that we should value and uphold for our leaders.

In his second letter to the Corinthians, Paul finds himself defending the legitimacy, manner, and authority of his leadership. His example will help us to reflect on how the gospel of Jesus ought to shape our Christian leaders, and will guide us in praying, caring for, and supporting the leaders who serve us.
