Made in His Own Image

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

What does it mean to be human?
If you ask the 8.3 billion humans living today, you may well get 8.3 billion different answers.

Considerable angst and confusion surround this fundamental question, because the answer gets to the heart of who we are, what we are, and why we’re here in this world.

More recently, our approach to this question is to look inward within ourselves.
But the Christian gospel directs us to look upward to God, our Creator and Saviour.

And God’s answer is this: to be human means to be “made in His own image.”

Over this series we’ll explore what God has to say in the gospel of Jesus about what it means to be in his image, and we’ll see how this impacts our lives as we wrestle with the big issues of our day.
