Bloom

Bloom is the women’s ministry of SLE Church. Twice a year, we gather to open God’s Word together, allowing it to shape our understanding of Christian womanhood and equip us to navigate its unique challenges.

As women of all ages and life stages, we seek to encourage and support one another, building the kind of intergenerational relationships modeled in Titus 2. Through Scripture and meaningful connections with each other, we grow in living out our faith, investing in each generation of women walking in Christ.

Bloom is open to all women of SLE Church aged 18 and above, seeking to bloom beautifully in the image of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 23 is arguably one of the bible’s most recognisable passages. It is precious to many for good reason. At the next Bloom afternoon we will be spending time dwelling in the riches of this Psalm. Please join us as we spend time enjoying learning from, praying and singing Psalm 23 with Christ as our songleader.

Bloom Session 1 2026

25th April 2026

Join us for our very first Bloom gathering of the year! This time, we’ll be meeting in homes for a more relaxed and meaningful time together.

Throughout the afternoon, we will spend time in the Psalms. This poetic book engages our emotions, reminds us of who we are, and helps us respond. We will see how we can pray them together with Jesus as our song leader.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect, share, and grow together in a welcoming space. Register early so that we can arrange logistics. See you there!

You are invited to a special Bloom gathering:

Untangling Emotions

Saturday, 20 June 2020
1:30-4:00pm
Homes of various ladies at SLE Church

Have you ever felt happy, angry, anxious or upset? If you're human, then you would have felt all these emotions and many more, whether you'd consider yourself an overly emotional person or not!

Have you ever felt confused, ashamed or proud about how you feel? Or wondered whether it was right to feel how you did? Have you stopped to think about what causes your emotions, what's the impact of your emotions, and if there's anything you can do about your emotions?

The Bloom committee is excited to host our first event of the year, where we'll think about our emotions, from God's perspective, revealed in His Word. We'll meet in small groups of 5-6 people, listen to a Bible talk and then mull over it together, considering & discussing how it should change how we think & feel about our emotions.

Thankfully, God wants us to be able to understand and sort out our emotions, not leave them in a tangled up mess.
